Whilst the NATO Tiger Meet was being held at the 31st Tactical Air Base at Krzesiny, Poznan's other major airfield, international airport Lawica, was hosting the third Poznan Air Show.
First hosted in 2015, then known as the 'Aerofestival', the event attracted many locally based acts unheard of in the UK, alongside some of the Polish Air Force's demonstrations.
For 2018 however, a large contingent of Polish-based participants were joined by displays, both flying and static, from forces partaking in Tiger Meet.
Due to the airport still being open to scheduled airline movements, the crowd-line was south-facing, making photographic conditions tricky.
However, despite shooting into sun, the range of participants in the flying displays more than made up for it. Particular highlights included a high-speed (albeit single) pass from a specially-schemed Polish Air Force Sukhoi Su-22 Fitter, Artur Kielak's spectacular aerobatic performances and the Krzesiny-based Tiger Demo Team's F-16 display, which included plenty of flares!
Below is a short gallery from the opening day of the show, which also included the arrival of many Tiger Meet Participants for the static display.
