After a long photographic off-season for me, the fifth London Classic Car Show held at the Excel Centre presented a good opportunity to get back out with the camera.
Split up in two distinct elements, a static show, comprised of some of the world’s most desirable classic cars, restoration projects and a COYS Auction and the ‘Grand Avenue’ for moving displays, fitting a number of themes including the 60th anniversary of the original Mini, motoring firsts and the history of Bentley.
Challenging lighting conditions in the Excel Centre forced me to think outside the box in terms of photographic techniques, using a flashgun to help blur moving subjects, as well as experimenting with a Gobe ND Filter to get a different perspective on some of the static exhibits.
