Since 1961, the Tiger Meet has been hosted to promote solidarity between NATO air forces by bringing together their squadrons which feature a tigers head as part of its squadron crest or emblem. In the following years, there have been 53 Tiger Meets, with the most recent of these being hosted by the French Navy's Flottille 11F at their base in Landivisiau, Brittany.
Over the course of the two week exercise, the gates are opened to a number of photographers, allowing for the action to be captured from within the base environment, a rare oppurtunity in the modern climate.
Whilst the weather on the day was not the best from a viewers perspective, the wide array of aircraft present put on a good show for the watching photographers, with 11F's Dassault Rafale's being the undoubted stars.
Below is a gallery of some of the highlights of the first week of the event, showing the array of types and schemes on display.
