Britcar’s annual ‘Into-the-Night Races’, held at Brands Hatch, are one of only a handful of UK motorsport events that offer the opportunity to see the spectacle of racing at night.
Acting as the finale to the series’ Endurance Category, the two-hour fixture held on the Kent track’s shortened Indy layout, offers something quite unique, both in terms of the event and the array of cars that are eligible in the championship.
The star attraction to this year’s event was the competition debut of Brabham Automotive’s new BT62 hypercar, as the manufacturer began their journey to a targetted debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the future.
With action spanning the Remembrance Weekend, Britcar was supported by some of the BARC’s other series, including the Ginetta Junior Winter Championship, the Mini Se7en Series, and a bumper field competing in the Citroen C1 Racing Club.
With the second day of the event being blessed with glorious winter sunlight, there was a multitude of photographic opportunities to take advantage of, some of which are hopefully shown in the pictures below.
